Larnaca Glafcos Clerides International Airport is the main airport in Cyprus and is in the homonym area, after the famous Mackenzie Beach.
The airport, whose IATA code is LCA, was built in 1974, immediately after the Turkish invasion of the island, but it has operated regular connection services only since 1976; it has only one terminal, used both for arrivals and departures, and that was completely renovated in 2009.
