Anchorage: art and culture

An exhibitive space with various objects of the traditional craftmanship and, above all, reconstructions of the houses of the aboriginals during the centuries is very famous. Within the Alaska Native Heritage Center many events are organised, especially related to the local dance.

Another museum is the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum, within which there is a splendid historical collection with more 27 aircrafts.

The festival called First Friday Art Walk, held every first Friday of the month, is particularly curious: from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. many shops, restaurants, pubs and galleries offers the visitors food and drinks, live music and exhibition of works of art.
